Your Church is Too Safe is a biblical reflection and roadmap to making the earthly church more like the heavenly Kingdom it is called to represent. Part celebration and part manifesto, this pull-no-punches book by veteran pastor Mark Buchanan is a plea for churches to return to their roots: to be both good news and bad news, an aroma and a stench … a disruptive force to whoever or whatever opposes the Kingdom of God.

Well it is exciting. After traveling to Colorado to see my brother and sister-in-law for Christmas, they returned home to Europe to find out they are coming to America! Awesome. Except for the fact that I will not get to go visit them there. Hmm. What to do.

So things are busy with working, for awhile, and then summer coming, trip to Uganda and Matthew being out of school. He has one more year to go. Whoo! Joshua is still looking for a job. David coming with his fiance and children to visit this summer. So much going on.

I am almost through with Scott Wilson's book Steering Through Chaos. I am excited to be through and even more pumped to have read it. It holds so many truths for our everyday struggles in our churches and in our home churches, of our families. I can't wait to hear what others have to say about it.
